Inside Boca Paddle: A New Home For Pickleball And Padel Lovers, From Beginners To Pros

Boca racket sport enthusiasts will have a new home court in 2026 as ground breaks on Boca Paddle’s 100,000 square foot facility.

Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America, and with the rising popularity of padel, there’s a need for more courts in Boca. “Boca realized that there’s a massive shortage of courts relative to the demand over the last few years,” says Boca Paddle co-Founder Brian Levine. The club will fill the need for more courts but also create a community for people who share a love for racquet sports.

The facility itself is being customized from top to bottom. Located at the former Ocean Breeze golf course in Boca Teeca, Boca Paddle will feature 25 climate controlled indoor and outdoor courts—19 for pickleball and six for padel. Weather, especially wind and rain affect the game tremendously, so having access to indoor courts will be a game changer for avid players. Additionally, one court will be a designated stadium court with 500 seats for major events that Boca Paddle plans to host.

Pickleball and padel players on Florida's southeastern coast have reason to smile.

According to a June 18 story in The Palm Beach Post, a state-of-the-art luxury paddle club, Boca Paddle by CityPickle, is coming to Boca Raton in early 2026.

Writer Jasmine Fernández reports that the facility will feature 25 courts, including 14 indoor pickleball courts and six padel courts, along with wellness amenities, coworking space, a pro shop, cold plunges, saunas and a full-service restaurant.

"Boca Raton, I think, like a lot of cities around the country, realized a few years ago that there was a massive shortage of supply relative to the exploding demand for pickleball," said Brian Levine, co-founder of Boca Paddle and a Boca Raton resident.

BOCA RATON — In the city where palm trees sway and tennis once reigned, a new sound is rising: the pop of a pickleball. On Tuesday, Boca Raton broke ground on Boca Paddle, a sleek, climate-controlled club that blends luxury, sport and community into one expansive 100,000-square-foot playground.

The $20 million public-private project by CityPickle is expected to open in early 2026. It will feature 25 courts, including 14 indoor pickleball courts and six padel courts, as well as wellness amenities, coworking space, a pro shop, cold plunges, saunas and a full-service restaurant by Farmer’s Table.

The loud pop of plastic pickle balls hitting the asphalt might be a deterrent for some luxury buyers. For others, the sport is such a draw that high-end condo towers are adding courts for pickleball — and its cousin, padel — precisely to appeal to buyers.

The latest is from CityPickle and its partners, who have broken ground for a 100,000-square-foot facility that’s part of a redevelopment of the former Ocean Breeze Golf Course in Boca Raton, the South Florida Business Journal reported. It’s CityPickle’s second Florida location.

Called Boca Paddle by CityPickle, the space will have 19 pickleball courts, six padel courts, locker rooms, saunas, cold plunges and an on-site bar and restaurant operated by Farmer’s Table, according to a press release.

Boca Raton is getting a major upgrade to its paddle sports scene as Boca Paddle, in partnership with CityPickle, prepares to open a 100,000-square-foot indoor racquet sports complex.

Set to open in early 2026, the facility will be the city’s first fully climate-controlled indoor paddle club, featuring 25 courts (19 for pickleball and six for padel) with a mix of indoor and covered outdoor play areas for year-round access. Construction begins Wednesday, Boca Paddle confirmed.

“Boca Paddle is a defining moment not just for the sport but for the city of Boca Raton,” CityPickle co-founder Mary Cannon said. “This facility will set a new national standard — pairing the passion of the paddle community with the sophistication of a true luxury destination. A Red Carpet Boca Paddle Groundbreaking

Not your typical groundbreaking as Boca Paddle’s team, investors, players and public officials turned out en masse for the new public indoor/outdoor pickleball and padel center’s official start. A red carpet led up to a sturdy open tent complete with fans and refreshments, courtesy of Farmer’s Table, the restaurant provider for the new 25 court facility.

White baseball caps with the Boca Paddle by CityPickle logo were on seats facing a dais and step-and-repeat with the usual shovels, this time with matching paddles. CityPickle co-founders/CEOs Erica Desai and Mary Cannon came in from NYC for the shovels-in-the-ground ceremony the morning of June 10 on the NW 2nd Avenue and Jeffrey Street site in the planned North Park in Boca Teeca.

With eight locations, among them in New York, Philly and West Palm Beach, they started the company four years ago to “offer an elevated pickleball experience,” Desai said, adding they now they have 130,000 customers. CityPickle will run the day-to-day operations, according to Malcolm Butters, the South Florida developer leading Boca Paddle. That group was chosen by the Greater Boca Raton Beach & Park District to develop and operate the 100,000-square-foot, $20 million facility expected to open to the public in the first quarter of 2026.

Boca Paddle by CityPickle Breaks Ground June 10

Boca Paddle by CityPickle said its groundbreaking ceremony took place on June 10 in a 100,000-square-foot facility hosting Boca Raton’s first climate-controlled indoor pickleball and paddle facility.

The event included opening remarks by the city’s Mayor Scott Singer alongside the team developing and managing Boca Paddle with industry leaders like Butters Construction, CityPickle, and Farmer’s Table, the company stated.

Boca Raton pickleball community l eaders and residents Stewart Davis and Brian Levine are also part of the leadership team, with the latter being a Board Member of United Pickleball Association, the parent company of the PPA Tour and Major League Pickleball, it said.
